Profile

I create drawings on paper, wall sculptures, and light installations, where the line—whether on the page or suspended in space—becomes a vehicle for investigating perception, time and space.

Working primarily with shredded paper, charcoal, graphite, and architectural materials such as MDF and wood, I construct wall-based and spatial works that investigate form as a state of tension—between resolution and collapse, gesture and structure, presence and absence.

Processes of reduction and reconfiguration are central. Repetition is not simply a formal device, but a conceptual anchor: a way to think through persistence, disruption, and expansion. Many of the works resist closure; they are deliberately incomplete or unstable, inviting the viewer to engage with them as open systems rather than finished forms.

I work within a monochrome palette, treating black and white as equal forces; where what is line and what is space is questioned. Solid geometric elements interplay with fluid lines as form. Circles and ellipses reoccur for their symbolic value, while other works rely on the structure of grids as  scaffold for order.

While the work is driven by investigation of space, materiality, and perception, personal undercurrents emerge. In pieces such as Echoes of a Division, for instance, compositional distance and mirrored asymmetry reflect lived experiences of connection and separation. Yet these narratives remain embedded rather than explicit—felt, rather than told.

Ultimately, my work seeks to suspend fixed meaning. By embracing incompletion, shifting orientation, and material contradiction, I aim to create works that remain in flux—insistent in their instability, and quietly persistent in their refusal to be contained.
